Come explore what we like to refer to as the quiet side of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. The Innstead Mountain Getaway is nestled squarely between the Connecticut River and Vermont border just a few miles to the west, and the summit of Mt. Moosilauke, New Hampshire’s westernmost 4,000-footer, just a few miles to the east.
Nestled in the hills of New Hampshire’s beloved Upper Valley region, a wide variety of world-class hiking and mountaineering opportunities are within short reach of our property. The Appalachian Trail lies only 5 miles down the road and other legendary regions such as the Pemigewasset Wilderness, the Benton Range, and the Presidential Range are but a stone’s throw away.
We are located 20 miles from Rumney Rocks, one of the premier climbing destinations in the country. Numerous crags that dot the hillside at Rumney offer a unique variety of climbing routes to sport, trad and bouldering enthusiasts. Beginner and expert alike – come and feel the schist!
Quiet and beautiful Lake Tarleton State Park is ideal for swimming, kayaking, canoeing or SUPing and is only a 7-minute scenic drive from The Innstead.
Shop and Eat Local! The Innstead is surrounded by countless farms and orchards where you can pursue a delicious, authentic Upper Valley experience.
